Lita Platform

The Lita Platform by Jeffrey Campbell was super popular in 2011, both in Norway and NYC, but I kind of concluded that I’m too tall to wear them. Still, I like them more and more every time I see them, and I’ve decided to at least go try them on when I’m back in New York. Tried on an imitated pair hear in Norway, and they were actually quite comfy to stand and walk in. Hope the real deal is just as comfy. Anybody who has them care to share? Thank you mucho!

You can get them here, and at many other online stores.

Emil & Samuel

Last weekend, my friend and I went on our semi-annual girls-only trip to Oslo. We spent some quality time with my lovely cousins, and met up with other friends; did some shopping in Bogstadveien and around Egertorget, and had a pit-stop at T-Huset (English: Tea House). I also had delicious and spicy Arabic food at restaurant Habibi, and Sunday coffee at Cafe-Sør (English: Cafe South). Saturday night, we went to Emil & Samuel, a large nightclub with several rooms and different DJs, and a rooftop that is heated during the winter. There were many dancers, two singers (house music), Norwegian celebs, and lots of good looking people. Though one thing I noticed, which actually surprised me, is how much makeup Norwegian girls wear when they go out! Or maybe I’m just wearing too little. :P Anyways, we had a super fun night ~ the club was great, my friends are great, everyone was in a good party mood, and of course, there was just the right amount of champagne.

My grand weakness, besides coffee and chocolates: dresses! This will be my 2nd for 2012, and you can get it here.

Emerald Green

Emerald Green

TFNC dress sold here

Been crushing on this dress for weeks now, and today I couldn’t resist. Green sequin with brown hair is such a nice combination! Don’t have a lot of green in my wardrobe, and my sequin pieces are black-only, so I’m very excited about this new addition to my wardrobe. Something fun and different for 2012. :)

Moments of 2011

I am truly grateful for how awesome 2011 has been. I graduated with a bachelors degree from Baruch College, had a lovely trip to Miami with the boyfriend, met so many amazing people, spend wonderful moments with friends and family, was accepted to grad school and obtained a new visa, got a Wealth Management internship, and continued to explore my favorite place in the world, New York City. Tonight, I’m very excited about the opportunities and good times 2012 will bring.

To my blog readers: Thank you for following my blog, for your Comments and suggestions. ♥

To Everyone: Wish you all a Very Happy New Year!!!

Corporate

Miss my office view in NYC! Though I must say, I’m having a blast – and learning a lot – at my Accounts Payable job in Norway. It’s a good sign when you can’t wait to get to work the next day. :D

Day 1 as an Accounts Payable Assistant went well, and I’m already learning a lot. Met up with two sweet friends after work, who currently live in NYC. We are all from the same city in Norway, and like me, they are home for Christmas. After meeting with them, I had dinner at my other friend’s house, who had prepared one of my favorite dishes, namely Ethiopian Injera! It was super good and spicy. Tomorrow is another workday, and I’m going shopping with mom in the evening, to use some of the gift-cards I was lucky to get for Christmas. Now, bedtime. zzzZzzZZZZzzzz

Cocktail Hour

Photos taken at SEA Thai Restaurant in Meatpacking, with the view of Standard Hotel. I love this place! Go here to see photos from inside the restaurant (click on Gallery/Virtual Tour), and here are my own pics from 1st floor.

Today is the 2nd day of Christmas, according to how we celebrate the holiday in Norway, and I’m relaxing at my dad’s place. Had dinner here yesterday, ate way too much Christmas cookies, and watched a bunch of good movies. Meeting my good friend later, followed by dinner at another friend’s house. Then, I actually start working tomorrow – already! I’m excited, yet a little worried about getting up in the morning. Jet-lagged as usual.

Now, it’s time for a late breakfast – scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. :P Enjoy the rest of your Christmas!

Bachata music gives me the chills, and I think this collaboration with Usher and Romeo Santos is amazing. Enjoy!
